It is Team Wahines mission to preserve the culture of surfing.
Teaching the culture and foundation of surfing is  essential
knowledge that is taught to our students and all who come
in contact with Team Wahine Surfing School.
Surfing had begun as a spiritual warrior act in the Hawaiian
islands and then thru modern times was discovered and
slowly introduced thru the world. One of the great
ambassadors of surfing is Duke Paoa Kahanamoku.  Thru his
genuine aloha spirit and athletic perfection he had brought the
sport universal.
For one to fully understand and achieve the full aspects of surfing
it is essential to discover the knowledge of the Aloha Spirit and
hospitality of respect to one another in and out of the water.
Surfing is my analogy on life. You never know how each wave will end.
You may have a perfect ride that could end up in a gnarly wipeout
or a graceful walk on the tail of your board.  Either way, how ever
it may end you just get back on your board and paddle out for
another. Being a cancer survivor of 3 different kinds of
Cancer  and also thru pain of being deceived by people I have
learned to live life like a big surf session. Know matter what
I may go thru, I just pick it up, learn from it and move forward.
No matter who may try to hurt you and bring you down, it's you
who has the freedom to paddle out and try another wave.
Every wave in life is a fresh start.  Like paddling for a
bigger wave, if you don't take risk in life you may never
experience the accomplishments of the reward.
It is an individual choice to decide what wave to ride as also
it is what choices you may make in life. Whether it is to love,
career choice, education, or what ever it may be.
If you don't paddle for a wave then you would never
know what it felt like to surf.  If you don't try things in life
you will never know what it really feels like to live.
My supreme aloha mentor has been Jesus Christ.
He is the only perfect Aloha that I have known.
Thru His acts and examples it keeps me paddling out
and to take the wave of life in an endless surf session!
Much Aloha,  Anne (the Wahine)

Thru my passion for surfing and the Hawaiian Culture,

in 2007 I had started my own Hula and Tahitian Dance Troupe.

Thru my dance troupe I have been able to express my

genuine appreciation of the Aloha Spirit in my Hula.

That has been a blessing.
